October has been a significant month for AhaSend! We’re excited to share several key updates designed to improve how you manage and monitor your transactional emails. These updates enhance your ability to track performance, understand issues, and optimize delivery to ensure critical emails, such as password resets and account confirmations, reach users without delay.
1. Customizable Delivery Time Reports
Timely delivery is critical for transactional emails, especially for password resets, OTPs, and account confirmations. Delays can lead to user frustration and churn. With our updated delivery time reports, you can now select specific time durations to analyze delivery trends, helping you quickly identify and resolve any potential delays in critical communications.
2. New Visual Charts for Transactional Email Data
We’ve introduced two new charts to make monitoring your transactional email performance more intuitive and actionable:
- Email Statuses: Understand the status of your transactional emails at a glance. See how many were delivered, opened, clicked, bounced, or suppressed to measure effectiveness and pinpoint issues.
- Bounce Categories: Get deeper insights into why transactional emails are bouncing. This chart categorizes bounce reasons like invalid recipients, protocol errors, or temporary server issues, giving you actionable insights to address problems proactively.
These visualizations make it easier to ensure your essential emails are delivered as expected.
3. Improved Bounce Reason Categorization
To help you troubleshoot delivery issues faster, we’ve revamped how bounce reasons are categorized. Instead of generic terms like “too many soft bounces,” you’ll now see specific and detailed reasons, such as:
- Invalid Recipient: The email address doesn’t exist.
- Bad Domain: The recipient domain doesn’t exist.
- Disabled or Inactive Mailbox: The mailbox provider has deactivated the email address.
- Inbox Out of Storage: The recipient’s mailbox is full.
- Invalid MX Record: The domain’s MX record is invalid.
- Connection or Certificate Error: Delivery failed due to bad certificates or connection issues.
- Protocol Error: SMTP communication issues with the recipient mail server.
- Routing Error: The recipient mail server couldn’t route the email.
- Authentication Error: The message was rejected due to DMARC or other authentication issues.
- Recipient Server Temporary Error: The recipient server temporarily rejected the message.
- Policy-Related Rejection: The message was blocked due to recipient server policies, such as spam classifications or blocklists.
These detailed bounce categories give you more actionable insights into delivery issues, ensuring your transactional emails reach their intended recipients.
4. Smarter Suppression Algorithms
To reduce unnecessary delays in transactional email delivery, we’ve updated our suppression algorithms. Temporary issues, such as “Inbox Out of Storage” or “Recipient Server Temporary Error,” will now result in shorter suppression durations, reduced from 1 month to 7 to 14 days. This ensures that retries for temporary errors happen sooner, improving the chances of successful delivery.
These updates reinforce our commitment to making AhaSend the most reliable solution for your transactional email needs. With enhanced reporting, smarter suppressions, and detailed insights, you’ll have even more tools to ensure your critical emails—like password resets and OTPs—are delivered on time, every time.
