Product Update

We've been busy this November rolling out significant improvements to AhaSend's infrastructure, user experience, and feature set. Here's what's new:

Workflow Engine (Private Beta)

We're excited to announce our new Workflow Engine, which is currently in private beta. We are already using it internally for AhaSend's own user-onboarding campaigns, to refine the experience before opening it up for all customers. The Workflow Engine will enable sophisticated, multi-step email automation directly within AhaSend, perfect for onboarding sequences, re-engagement campaigns, and transactional follow-ups.

If you're interested in early access, reach out to our team.

Enhanced Message Archiving

We've changed how message delivery attempts are stored in a S3 compatible Objectstore. Each delivery attempt now creates a separate file in your S3 bucket. This change allows you to:

  • Use write-only credentials for improved security
  • Leverage S3's built-in retention policies for compliance

Email Delivery & Monitoring

  • Improved Out-of-Band (OOB) NDR notification handling for more reliable bounce processing
  • Enhanced DSN report delivery for better visibility into message status
  • Upgraded spam and phishing monitoring systems

Dashboard Enhancements

  • MX records are no longer displayed for root domains (like example.com) in the dashboard, preventing common DNS configuration mistakes
  • Improved suppression list management with faster search and easier deletion
  • Automatic quota notifications for Free tier accounts, so you'll never be surprised

Infrastructure & Performance

  • Significantly faster synchronization between backend systems and MTA servers for accounts, domains, and credentials
  • Upgraded the Stripe API, paving the way for adaptive pricing with local currency support
  • Enhanced security measures throughout our codebase and infrastructure
  • Numerous bug fixes, performance optimizations, and quality-of-life improvements

What's Next?

The Workflow Engine is just the beginning. We're continuing to refine it based on our internal testing and will be opening up beta access to select customers soon. We're also working on the adaptive pricing features enabled by our Stripe API upgrade, which will make AhaSend even more accessible to customers worldwide. On the infrastructure side of things we are implementing improvements to make the tech stack more resilient.

As always, we're committed to building the best email infrastructure for transactional sending.

Have feedback on these improvements or suggestions for what you'd like to see next? We'd love to hear from you!
