Every campaign has a report, live while it sends and complete when it is done. This page explains the numbers, how opens and clicks are counted, and how to get the data out.

The Numbers

Open and click rates count unique recipients out of delivered messages. Bounce and deferral rates use the number of recipients as their base. Opens and clicks that AhaSend recognizes as bots, such as security scanners that open every link, are left out. On a sent campaign’s page, the View email button next to the design opens the email as recipients got it.

Deliverability per List

When a campaign goes to more than one list, the report shows recipients and delivered per list. A list with a lower delivery rate than the others usually has older or less well-sourced addresses; the bounce reasons below tell you which.

Bounce Reasons

The report groups bounces by classification: invalid recipient, inactive mailbox, bad domain, quota issues, policy related, authentication failed, and so on. Behind each classification are the recipients, with the reason the receiving server gave. See bounce classifications for what each one means and what to do.

Opens and Clicks per Contact

The contact page shows the campaigns a contact received, opened and clicked. Use it when a recipient asks what they were sent, or to see how an individual engages.

Export and Webhooks

Export a report as CSV or PDF from the campaign page. To follow campaign events in your own systems as they happen, use webhooks: delivered, bounced, opened and clicked events of campaign messages arrive like those of your transactional mail. Through the API, Get Campaign Stats returns the counters and rates, and List Campaign Recipients returns the recipients in one status or with one bounce classification.
